Congratulations to our USBC Award of Merit recipients. All will receive USBC certificate(s) for their achievement(s). Youth will also receive a $100 scholarship from the HUSBC Youth Committee.

POSTED 08/20/07 - New Purchasable USBC Awards

• Starting in 2007-08, USBC offers an expanded line of optional recognition awards, including an all-new 11-in-a-row ring in addition to traditional awards for 300 games and 800 and 900 series. The Honor Score Collection for 11-in-a-row games offers Siladium or gold rings in the same four. All Honor Score rings in Siladium are available for $69.95. The new 11-in-a-row ring is available to any member who holds a certified 11-in-a-row game.

POSTED 08/20/07 - Averages Omitted from USBC Membership Cards

• USBC membership cards for the 2007-08 season will not include bowler averages in an effort to improve inaccurate records and save on postage costs. In hundreds of cases, incorrect averages were printed on membership cards due to members who bowl with more than one association and/or inaccuracies in records filed by league secretaries. Despite a disclaimer on the back of the cards, too many members (and associations) erroneously were using the printed averages as “official” tournament averages. In addition, leaving off averages will save in postage costs. Under U.S. Postal Service rules, the inclusion of a bowler’s average on the card “personalizes” the mail, requiring first-class postage costs. Membership kits can be mailed at greatly reduced nonprofit postage rates if cards list only the bowler’s name and USBC ID number. Members are encouraged to use the “Find a Member” feature on bowl.com to find the most accurate average information as well as personal bowling records.

POSTED 05/25/07 - Adult Mixed State (Longview) - Deadline for Reserve Friday, August 24, 2007

• We have reserved 10 lanes for Double/Singles at 6 PM on Saturday, October 20th and Team at 9 AM on Sunday, October 21st. Teams consist of 2-men and 2-women. Doubles are 1-man and 1-women. Multiple participation in the Team event is allowed. Lanes will be redressed before squads. Fee is $62.00 per bowler. One check or money order payable to "Texas State USBC - Mixed" per application.
